Open for tours!

The Governor W.H. Upham House has re-opened for tours. Tour hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1:30-4pm.

For the safety of our staff and tour guides, we request that visitors please observe current CDC guidelines.
Please call the North Wood County Historical Society office (715.387.3322) to schedule your tour!

Celebrating Marshfield's Sesquicentennial!

2022 marks Marshfield's 150th Anniversary. Throughout the year keep an eye out for different events!

Featured Exhibit: "Stitches in Time" Celebrating Marshfield's 150 Years in Clothing and the People who wore them.

January - March will feature winter garments; April will have a special feature of hats; May - August will feature summer garments

Celebrate Marshfield DairyFest at the home of former Governor William H. Upham. Enjoy hotdogs, brats, pie and ice cream in the governor’s yard and gardens, then tour the home and view the current exhibit “Stitches in Time.”

4th Annual “Horse Power”Exhibit

Featuring horse drawn carriages, wagons, carts, and buggies from the late 1890s and early 1900s.

Guided tours of the historic of the Governor W.H. Upham Home will be available



Spoken History Lectures

All presentations are on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. You can attend in person at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library or virtually via Zoom.

Walking Tour,“Retracing the Path of the Great Marshfield Fire of 1887”

Commemorate the 135th Anniversary of the Marshfield Fire by tracing the path of the fire with local volunteers performing the roles of people who witnessed the inferno and later helped rebuild Marshfield.
