Upham House Reopened

On Monday, March 20, 2023 the members and supporters of the North Wood County Historical Society were the first to experience the new atmosphere as they met for their annual meeting. During the wallpapering process we found at least seven layers of older paper and were pleasantly surprised to discover that the wallpaper we chose captures esthetic of the Upham and Hambright families while they lived in the house. The parlor and library also now feature more of the original furnishing including red velvet parlor chairs and rocker, two chairs with seat covers hand stitched by Grace (Upham) Hambright, and a multiple piece Coir porch set.
